Hi! My name is Kelli and I’m a writer. I’m published by a major publishing house (Scholastic) and have sold more than 60,000 copies of my book. I’m also a produced screenwriter and creative director/commercial writer for short form content. I’ve been a professional marketer for two decades and I’ve worked with Fortune 50 companies and startups alike. I go by Kelli Mc because my pen name and my legal name are so similar, and this just keeps things easier!
Now what does this mean to you? Storytelling has evolved dramatically over the last two decades and while at one point it might have just meant telling a straightforward narrative, that’s not the case any more.
Audiences on different platforms require different content and delivery so my approach to strategy and execution isn’t a one-size-fits-all method.
For one client I might suggest a series of videos paired with ads and landing pages and another I might suggest a months’ long campaign dedicated to developing content for SEO purposes.
I think the beauty of my work and what makes me love it so much is that each project and client is like a puzzle for us to figure out.
My process typically starts with a phone call or video meeting for new clients where I listen to your goals and concerns, we discuss what has worked and what hasn’t worked in the past and how we might forge a way forward working together. I do not charge for initial consultations.
Once we complete our consultation, I’ll put together a scope of work that outlines approach, duration and budget. We’ll both sign off on the SOW and proceed from there. I do collect a 50% deposit for all one-off projects prior to commencing work and the balance is due upon delivery of final materials. I am available for longer term contracts.
